Drought broken

After 480 minutes, 29 goals scored and 81 goals conceded, Max Power FC finally broke their winless streak as we savoured the sweet taste of victory with a 2-1 win. The win was achieved with goals in each half after going a goal down early on. For once we had a fair dose of luck go our way as our opposition hit the post a number of times. It was great to finally to get the monkey off our back and hopefully we don’t have to wait another 480 minutes for our next win, because that would be nigh on unbearable.

In other news, the girls from our team have started up their own team called Maxine Power and have won their first four games.

Haha, so it seems the girls in the team aren’t the problem! Congratulations on your first win! Our indoor team just had a win after a couple losses. Winning is much more pleasant than losing:)

You are probably right there. You might notice in the goal scorers for each game that the guys never get on the scoreboard (only two goals have ever been scored by male members of our team). This is partly due to the rules (which I may or may not explain at some stage) and our lack of ability to find the back of the net.
