First game of the new season and we held our own for most of the first half, going into the half-time break 1-nil up thanks to a well taken goal from Mel. Unfortunately our second half wasn’t up to the standard of our first, copping six goals, with only Caroline hitting the back of the net in her new boots late on. It must said at least two of the opposition’s goals took wicked deflections and we were also subject to some pretty dodgy refereeing decisions. Not the best start to the new season, but there was some good signs for future games. That first win can’t be that far off.
